Security Forces Killed 33 TTP Terrorists in Balochistan Infiltration Attempt:ISPR

On the night of August 7 and 8, Pakistani security forces stopped a major infiltration attempt at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Balochistan’s Zhob district. According to the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 33 terrorists linked to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed during the operation.

The group, described by officials as part of the “Indian proxy Fitna al Khawarij,” was spotted in the Sambaza area. Troops quickly engaged the infiltrators and successfully stopped them from entering Pakistani territory. The ISPR said the forces used precise and bold tactics to eliminate the threat.

After the clash, security forces recovered a large stash of weapons, explosives, and ammunition from the site.

The military stated, “Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to defending the country’s borders and eliminating Indian-backed terrorism.”

Terrorist attacks have increased in recent months, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. This surge began after the TTP ended its ceasefire with the government in November 2022. Pakistan currently ranks second on the Global Terrorism Index 2024, highlighting the growing threat.
