NADRA Releases Upgraded Pak-ID App for Users
“The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has released a new version of the Pak-ID mobile application with sophisticated new features aimed at improving the user experience and service delivery.“
As stated by NADRA, the updated Pak-ID app not only reserves time for citizens, but also renders services and crucial information from the user’s home.
Different aspects have been attended to with the new update concerning the user experience for quicker, simpler, and more effective completion of all identity-related processes.
The following are important new features of the system’s new version:
- Real-time ID verification.
- Verification of face biometrics at the beginning of the application.
- Viewing family members’ records biometrically is optional.
- Direct booking of appointments via application for NADRA centers.
- Smoother navigation due to a greatly enhanced user interface.
- Overall improved user experience and enhanced accessibility.
- NADRA encourages citizens to immediately update the Pak-ID mobile app on their smartphones to take advantage of the newly added features.

The NADRA authorities had further maintained that the processes for digital development of infrastructure and public services are being undertaken to facilitate all citizens of Pakistan.
NADRA had previously introduced an automated online payment gateway which allows Pakistani citizens residing in and outside the country to apply for identity documents without visiting NADRA offices.
Now through the PakID mobile application, users can easily pay fees for Smart National Identity Card (SNIC), Child Registration Certificate (CRC), and Family Registration Certificate (FRC).
Payment via mobile application is accepted through debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), Easypaisa, JazzCash, and e-Sahulat.
