Biker Girl Attacked in Lahore’s Chung; Police on the Hunt

LAHORE – A violent attack on a young biker in Lahore’s Chung area has rattled the neighbourhood and sparked fresh anger over women’s safety in the city.

It happened in broad daylight. CCTV footage from the street shows a man suddenly rushing at the girl, hitting her several times before bolting. The grainy clip, now making the rounds online, is as unsettling as it sounds.

Her mother, Farzana, told police her daughter Amna had gone out to pick up a few groceries when the assault happened. She says the attacker didn’t just slap and punch her — he tried to drag her away, yanking her by the hair along the road.

Police brass took notice quickly. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran has told SP Saddar Division Rana Hussain Tahir to make the arrest a priority. SHO Chuhang Muhammad Raza is heading the team combing the area for the suspect, who hasn’t yet been found.

The incident has left residents furious, with calls growing for harsher penalties and better street security so women can travel without fear.
