Punjab Govt Offers Paid Internships Worth Rs40,000 — Apply Now
LAHORE – The Punjab government has launched its first province-wide internship program for young veterinary professionals, setting aside Rs600 million to support the initiative.
Under the CM Internship Program, 1,000 fresh graduates and para-veterinary professionals will be offered placements across all 36 districts of Punjab. Veterinary graduates with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree will receive a monthly stipend of Rs60,000, while para-vets and livestock assistants will be paid Rs40,000 during their internship.
Officials say the program is open to veterinary graduates and those who have completed the two-year Livestock Assistant Diploma (LAD). Applications can be submitted through district-level offices, with quotas reserved for veterinary assistants, AI technicians, and lab assistants.
Authorities have billed the initiative as a “landmark step” for the livestock sector — both in creating job opportunities for young professionals and in strengthening veterinary services across Punjab. The scheme is also being pitched as a way to boost livestock health, improve productivity, and ultimately benefit the rural economy.
