State Bank Unveils Rs 75 Coin to Honour Armed Forces | Independence Day 2025

KARACHI – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued a special Rs75 commemorative coin to pay tribute to the country’s armed forces and their valour in the ‘Marka-e-Haq’.

The coin, unveiled ahead of Independence Day, recognises the courage of personnel serving on land, at sea, and in the air. SBP officials say it also marks 2025 as a year of national pride.

Struck in a nickel-brass alloy of copper, zinc, and nickel, the coin is 30mm in diameter and weighs 13.5 grams.

Its obverse features a waxing crescent moon and five-pointed star facing northwest, with “Islami Jamhuria Pakistan” in Urdu along the upper edge. Two wheat sprigs frame the year “2025” at the bottom, with the denomination “75” and the word “Rupia” on either side.

The reverse design centres on the words “Marka-e-Haq” in Urdu and “2025”, with the slogan “Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad” at the top. Fighter jets appear on both sides, while a naval ship and a multiple rocket launcher complete the military theme.

The commemorative coin will be available to the public from August 15, 2025, at all SBP Banking Services Corporation field offices across the country.
